Fox Cultural Hall has a variety of public art programs including Art in Public Places, The Mural Project and Artists in Bloom. Art in Public Places has permanent exhibits in Truckee Town Hall and Truckee Donner Recreation & Parks District Center. Artists in Bloom is a region-wide public school student art-show. The newest program is The Mural Project.
The Mural Project will beautify public locations and concrete walls in front of businesses with artistic murals, in the heart of North Lake Tahoe communities. We collaborate with a variety of regional government entities and organizations for the Mural Project. The mural art conveys important local theses of environmental stewardship, history, and cultural heritage with the goal of bringing attention to local business and significant locations. The hope is the art will add to the North Lake Tahoe region for years to come.
